TEAM for Advocates and Allies
Peers with Disability, Families, Disability Support Workers & Community Members
TEAM for Advocates and Allies aims to build the capacity of those around a person with disability so they can better advocate for the person's wants and needs, manage their own wellbeing and achieve great outcomes,
Over the years, the workshops have provided a rich forum for people to embrace and develop their core advocacy roles - as family members, self-advocates (with or without NDIS funding), support workers, managers and independent advocates - and to clarify issues in the framework of a shared vision, a common values base and a spirit of collaboration.
TEAM for Advocates is also a great option for individuals with disability who have completed the TEAM for NDIS Participants Workshops and want to expand their advocacy to include supporting other people with disability to achieve their own personal goals.
